Well.... Not that you're here, aren't you glad I decided to squeeze some blogging time into my busy schedule... I tell you what, since Daddy went back to working mornings Mommy has not let us rest for a second. There's hardly any time for the occasional beauty nap... Mom makes this parenting thing look easy (but don't worry.... We can still make Daddy sweat...)

Here's what's been going on with us....

Since i last posted about Lylah and I's weight being the same something crazy has happened... I am still my normal svelte self but Lylah looks like she got stung by a bee... They say that the camera adds ten pounds so you think it would be easier to capture on camera but its not... You can kinda see in these pictures of uncle Steve and Aunt Genie.

We've been practicing our smiles hard lately... We're hoping that our big faces will land us a lead in a gerber commercial... But until then we are using them to keep daddy wrapped around our finger. Tight.

Its SUPER hot outside. Mom tried to take us to the pool for the first time... It went ok... But here's us in our swimsuits.... I know shield your eyes from ALL the cuteness....

Turns out... Nothing makes a dad fall asleep faster than a sleeping baby.... You shoulda seen what Lylah got into while i kept dad busy...

I bet you thought mom was working hard taking care of us.... But... It turns out... Lizzie is a great babysitter....

Turns out even a broken clock IS right twice a day... Check out this picture daddy took... i knew flashing the camera in my face a hundred times a day would eventually yield a decent picture....

Road Trip

Wow! So sorry its been so long since we posted... Our social calendar is QUITE busy. Here's whats been going on with us...

We went to our two month doctor's appointment and we both weighed 9 pounds 3 ounces. (yes, lylah has caught up. It wasn't enough to be born first... Sheesh... So competative... Future classmates better watch out for her in the field day sack races...)

Next, let me be clear. We DO NOT approve of shots. I've got my eye on you doctor. We will bring the noise again next time if you get close to us with that needle.















We got to go on our first road trip this weekend! We traveled 3 hours to see our great grand parents in Emporia and Wichita... And i have to say, whatever this great place is that we live is... Its amazing... So much to see... So much to do... I can see why dad likes it sooooo much.

I guess I'll close with the obligatory Happy Fathers Day. I don't see the big deal... Mom did all the work... Still... I guess for a Dad... He's pretty cool...

7 Weeks!

Woah! Time is going by fast! Daddy is wondering if Momma birthed an infant or a frat boy... Think about it...

-We're on a liquid diet from a bottle
-We fart and burp so loud you wouldn't believe
-We stay up all night and sleep all day
-We're gaining weight REAL fast
-We smile real big when we go number 2
-AND we bathe every 4 days..... ;)

We haven't just been laying around all the time... We've been busy meeting all of our new friends... Check out the photo stream for some pictures!

One Month Old!

Hi Everyone! One month old! Can you believe it!? Aren't we big stuff!? I (Piper) am up to 6lbs 9oz and Lylah has almost caught with me at 6lbs 8oz (She's so competitive... jeez...)

We are loving having both Momma and Daddy home with us right now and we are priming our cryers for when Daddy goes back to work next week. We KNOW he will miss us (he'll also miss typing everything three words at a time...)

We got to meet our BIG sister this week! We love her and are already enjoying taking her on walks! (Big thanks to Grandma and Poppi for providing foster care!)

Check out the pic below of our first trip to Tad's! Daddy kept trying to sneak us bites of his snow cone but Momma wouldn't let him. We also had our first trip to Jose Peppers!

The ban has been lifted on little kids coming to see us! So as long as you aren't sick come on over!

Weekend of Firsts!

It was a weekend of firsts for us! Mom and Dad flew solo for the first time with with us over the weekend (bet you were wondering why they looked so tired...) We went out to a restaurant for the first time (BRGR if you were wondering...) We wen't to Church for the first time and Lifegroup for the first time. Pretty exciting weekend right????

We've been sleeping pretty well at night. We're not up to that 12 hours Dad is hoping for but the 'rents accidentally let us sleep 5.5 hours last night and we lived through it!

15 Days Old and All is Well! (Blog Address)

15 days! WOW! I feel so old! Seems like just yesterday I was seeing dads face for the first time (looking like he was gonna pass out i might add.)

Not much has happened here in our 5 days at home. We went to our first Pediatrician appointment on Monday and we are both back above our birth weight. Piper was 5lbs8oz and I was 5lbs4oz. (Its super cool to gain weight when you are our age. be jealous)

We also combined our first visit to the pediatrician with our first Chik-fil-a experience. They didn't have anything we could eat but I hear they warm up bottles. (someone should talk to those Chik-fil-a folks about some chicken flavored formula.)

Mom and Dad wanted me to let you all know that we are ready to have visitors. We are still not allowed to be around kids under the age of 14 (darn RSV) but we can have visitors. Just call or text and make sure we are home first...
